web technology is a way of life
Joel Nagy .com is a place for my thoughts on web technology. These thoughts cover web development, web applications and software, web design and concepts for improving the web. I also like to dive into web trends, and marketing.
I am the Director of Web Technology for kirshenbaum bond + partners and dotglu. I am the lead technical adviser on all projects that dotglu and kbp work on for interactive web development. I work closely on projects such as BMW USA, Don Julio, and Fruit2day. I lead the kbp development team when we build web sites and micro sites in both Flash, Flex and XHTML.
I have a decade of professional experience in web development ranging from back-end scripting, database development with both traditional and xml systems, front-end scripting with dynamic JavaScript involving AJAX and common Web 2.0 concepts. Some of the companies I’ve worked with and for include Lucent, uReach, Arc90, BMW, Panasonic, Wendy’s, Diageo, HomeGoods, Fruit2day, Edward Jones, CibaVison, Cingular, and Verizon.
