Who’s Joel?

Joel Nagy .com is a place for my thoughts on web technology. These thoughts cover web development, web applications and software, web design and concepts for improving the web.  I also like to dive into web trends, and marketing.

I am the Technical Director for iris NY.  I oversee the digital development team and provide technical insight to our account and creative teams. It’s my job to deliver the best technical solutions to our clients. And when the going gets rough (or when I get nostalgic) I roll up my sleeves and code with the team.

I am a digital expert with management and development experience building high-end rich-media corporate web sites and web applications. I am a LAMP and JavaScript expert with experience working with many commercial and proprietary CMS apps. I am an SEO guru and WordPress expert. I am a huge advocate of OpenSource solutions.
